Abstract (EN)
Smart city technologies have high potential to improve the quality and productivity of the urban life. Smart city technologies which provide convenience to municipal administrations and residents of the city help users in matters such as transportation, traffic, health services, security, etc. Increasing water-use efficiency can also be achieved through smart city technologies. In the project work, an automation application has been developed to detect and manage over-consumption of water subscribers and leaks caused by faults in the water line. The automation application has realized the detection, reduction and management of leaks and over-consumption through a software that used in common with the smart water meters by using water consumption graphs. The user can monitor the analysis results with the written interface software. The smart water meters provide to import the water consumption data of the subscribers periodically and to analyze automatically to detect the over-consumption and leakage of subscribers and to set electronic valve ratios with user approval according to the results of the analysis. In this way, water consumption is constantly kept under control. Thus, necessary water savings are achieved.
