Abstract (EN)
In this study, ecofriendly synthesis of 4H-1-benzopyran-4-one, 2,3-dihydro-2-phenyl (flavanone) which has biological activities such as hypotensive, antifungal, antibacterial, antitumoral, was aimed. Conventional intramolecular conjugated addition of o-hydroxychalcones which has prepared by Claisen Condensation requires catalyst such as acid, base or light/heat. However in this study reactions were carried out in sub- and supercritical water without using any catalyst in one pot. Effect of reactants ratio, amount of water used, heat and reaction time was also investigated.
