Abstract (EN)
In this study, Friedel-Crafts alkylation of aniline, phenol, anisole and m-crezol with ter-butanol and 2-butanol has been carried out in sub-critical water wihtout using any catalysis. 100% selectivity for mono-alkylated products with 50% conversion could be obtained. This investigation has shown that product yield of Friedel-Crafts alkylation in sub-critical water depends on substitüents on aromatic substrates and electrophilic character of cation produced from alcohol molecule.Key Words: Friedel-Crafts alkylation reactions, subcritical water, aniline, phenol, süpercritical fluids.
