Pyrrole and its derivatives are the heterocyclic compounds which not only are found in structure of both some bioactive drugs and some natural compounds such as haem, chlorophyll, B12 vitamin; but also show some important pharmacological properties such as antibacterial, antiviral, antitumor etc.In this research work, N-substituted pyrrole derivatives were synthesized by Paal-Knorr condensation of 2,5-hexanedione with a variety of different primary amines under subcritical conditions in which water acts as a catalyst and solvent for organics. As a result of the experiments, a simple, clean, and environmentally friendly process is developed for pyrrole synthesis and this process can be easily applied for synthesis of different pyrrole compounds with a high yield.
