İnvestigation procedure specific to childs dragged into crime and measures to be applied

It is widely accepted that children require special protection both nationally and internationally. In the event of a child committing a crime, a separate procedure is necessary. From the moment a child commits an offense, until the conclusion of the trial, they are treated differently from adults, and the investigation and prosecution are conducted in a manner specific to children. As defined in the first paragraph of Article 3, paragraph (a) of the Child Protection Law, 'Child' refers to a person who has not yet reached the age of eighteen, even if they mature earlier. If a child is suspected of committing a crime, they are labeled as a "The Child, Who Dragged İnto Crime." The subject of our study is the specific investigation procedure for the child, who draged into crime and the measures that can be applied to them. The study will focus on what the child, who draged into crime encounter during the investigation stage and the different procedures they are subject to compared to adults. Subsequently, protective and supportive measures that can be applied to children will be discussed. The purpose of choosing this topic is to provide practical guidance on the specific investigation procedure for the child, who draged into crime due to the lack of detailed sources and to clarify how protective and supportive measures for children will be implemented, who has the authority to decide on these measures, which measures need to be applied, which institutions will carry out the measures, and the enforcement of these measures. The scope of the study will include alternative dispute resolution methods, and the procedures for implementing these methods for children will be explained. Both as a practitioner, discussing the situations and issues encountered in practice, and as a researcher, addressing legislation and agreements, will be covered. The aim of the study is to emphasize the need for handling the child, who draged into crime with greater sensitivity and to guide practitioners in the investigation stage.
