Abstract (EN)
In this study investigating Şükûfe Nihal's novels and her novel style, six of author's novels have been examined based on their theme and structure. The novel conception of the author, upon whose novels no qualitative studies have been conducted, is aimed to be revealed. In the study, author's life and her art are also mentioned. New information about her life has been reached from the archives. In the novels of Şükûfe Nihal, attention is turned on different dimensions of the change taking place in social life. Themes similar to women, marriage, love, westernization, liberty, religion, and national struggle have been dealt with. The women issue is especially emphasized. It is possible to state that partial autobiographic traces are visible in the novels.
