Water is at the forefront of life sources in the environment. Each form of water has many riches about living in that we know or do not know. In the last years and for the foreseeable future, serious negative scenarios about water resources are being derived and these scenarios are getting harder and harder. It is extremely important to focus on such scenarios in the time frame. In addition to being aware of the vital importance of water as mankind being, the fact that we are not self-sacrificing to overcome the negative consequences that may arise in the face of this awareness, puts us out of the way and increases the likelihood of these scenarios. The use of geographical information systems and remote sensing techniques, which are one of the evolving technologies of today, is facilitating the monitoring of water areas. The use of geographical information systems that provide operations and analysis facilities and remote sensing technology which is a data source, the processing of satellite images and aerial photographs produced in various band intervals and the analysis of desired parameters are very important in the management of water areas. In this context, the existing water areas will be evaluated from the past to the present with a dynamic database to be designed considering the Water Framework Directive (WFD), and the monitoring, classification, recording and analysis of the water areas will be made and future forecasts will be made.
