Abstract (EN)

The study area includes H31 d2 map section which is in Sulakyurt town at the 80 km northeast from Kirikkale.The ophiolitic melange the basic of study area is cut by Sulakyurt granite. The late Eocene - early Miocene aged which is formed of conglomerate, marl and carbonete Incik formation exists unconformity upon them. Late Miocene aged Kizilirmak formation which is formed of conglomerate, sandstone, siltstone, claystone overlays on Incik formation with angular unconformity. Farasli volcanics formed by petrographicly basalts which are same aged by the Kızılırmak formation , exists in Kizilirmak formation at middle Paleocene aged Sulakyurt granite is underlaid by Incik and Kizilirmak. Allovium forms the most young unit of the area.In this study , preparing the detailed 1/25.000 scaled map of Sulakyurt area, aiming to prove the usability of sulakyurt granite as building block, experiments are made and experiments results are compered with TSE.
