Human psychology in the context of emotions, values and social behaviors in Sule Fakih's musnavi of Yusuf and Zeliha

We see that there are countless examples of the mesnevi verse, whose first examples are seen in Arabic literature and then passed over to Persian literature, between the XI-XIX centuries. Especially the double heroes love mesnevis were highly preferred by the poets. One of these love mesnevis is Yûsuf u Züleyhâ mesnevi, which is very popular in almost every period of classical Turkish literature. The story of Yûsuf u Züleyhâ, which takes its subject from divine sources, has been studied in Turkish, Arabic and Persian literatures as it has a religious feature, and has attracted great interest by both folk poets and divan poets. Many mesnevis of the story have been written in classical Turkish literature. One of these mesnevis is the Yûsuf u Züleyhâ mesnevi of Süle Fakîh, which is thought to have been written at the end of the 13th century and is one of the first examples of the Yûsuf u Züleyhâ mesnevi in the Anatolian area, and also has many copies. In this study, the emotions, values and behaviors of Süle Fakîh's Yûsuf ve Zelihâ mesnevi have been examined in order to present that it is processed in every aspect of human psychology in a classical Turkish literature work written in the early period and that it is described by the creator of the text with the most beautiful expressions and its psychological reflections are given. The selection of the heroes and subject of the mesnevi inspired by real life and having many universal emotions and values belonging to human beings were effective in the selection of works. In the study, the definitions and general information about emotions, values and social behaviors are given. Later, sample couplets suitable for these definitions are presented from the work and these concepts are related to the psychological states of the heroes of the work.
