Letters which were sent to the "Clock of the village" program of Süleyman Kazmaz (1950-1955)

Human being is both the primitive and the most modern symbol of evolving, developing and transforming culture. During it's existence,human had the mission of making the world and life meaninful counciously or uncounciously and fed the literature. Folk science which traces this cultural chain, is a research unit that keeps track of past, present and future. Folklore science is the subject of all, related to human and writing, voice and words. In this study, the letters of the villagers sent to the radio program named "Clock of the Village" on TRT Ankara Radio between 1950-1955 performed by Suleyman Kazmaz who was known as a laywer and lecturer, were compiled and evaluated with folk science. With his service, Suleyman Kazmaz's folklorist personality will be understood better by those concerned. The texts of the letters are classified according to their dates and presented in an appropriate form in a table. The contents were evaluated with examples as general headings. The fact that the letters will be published together for the first time shows that our study is a source that will help the researchers in the fields of history, sociology etc… Keywords: Folklore, Suleyman Kazmaz, culture, radio, letter
