Abstract (EN)

The work, which has an important place in the historical course of Turkish, shows the characteristics of transition from Old Anatolian Turkish to Ottoman Turkish, and which we find worthy of study in order to evaluate the second half of the fifteenth century and the first half of the sixteenth century, is the 9th volume of Firdevsî-i Rûmî's Süleymân-nâme. The work is registered as Manisa Provincial Public Library, Akhisar Zeynelzade Collection, 45 Ak Ze 226 and has a total of six volumes (37-42). In addition, there is another copy of the work, which includes volumes 37-42, registered in the Topkapı Palace Museum, Treasury Library number 1529. While translating the text, studies on old-letter texts and dictionaries were used. The index of the text transferred from the original Arabic script to the Latin letters was created with the help of the Cibakaya program, and the meanings of the words and word groups in the context were given first. After the index was created, language analysis was made on the text; spelling, phonetic and morphological features of the text are shown in tables. In the introduction, detailed information is given on the life and works of Firdevsî, especially the other volumes of Süleymân-nâme and the 39th volume, and a broad summary of the events described in the text was given. Later, the facsimile part of the study was prepared. With the study, it has been determined that the work has transition features from Old Anatolian Turkish to Ottoman Turkish in terms of language characteristics and vocabulary.
