Abstract (EN)

In this study, effects of sulfamerazine on immune system of rainbow trout (O. mykiss) were examined. In the research, total 320 raibow trout, that avaregly weighted 193,90 ± 40,09 g (124,2-280,3 g) and lenghted 25,51 ± 1,95 cm (21,4-28,2 cm) were used. The amounts of 100, 200 and 400 mg sulfamerazine for, per kg fish weight were mixed with food and given to the fish. Blood samples were taken from the hearth offish that fed food with sulfamerazine in 3., 7., 14., and 21. days and haematocrit and leucocrit levels, numbers of erythrocyte and leucocyte, hemoglobin level, Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV), Mean Hemoglobin Concentration (MHC) and Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC), phagocytic ratio and index, glass-adherent NBT positive cell activation, protein and total immunoglobulin level were determined. Decrease in the haematocrit, leukocrit, hemoglobin, protein and total immunuglobulin level, MHC and MCHC values in erytrocyt and leucocyt numbers of sulfamerazine applicated fish were found. An increase was determined in MCV and phagocytic ratio and index. The increase in MCV value was found important (p<0.05), while the increase in phagocytic ratio and index was found animportant (p>0.05). Key Words: Immunomodulation, Sulfamerazine, Rainbow trout
