Synthetic organic dyes are frequently utilized in cosmetics, paper and textile industries. Among them, the reactive dyes are categorized by the existence of reactive chlorine, aryl groups, sulfate and amino groups. These dyes are commonly recalcitrant due to their xenobiotic character and display considerable resistance to microbial degradation. Therefore, different methods have been proposed for removal of these dyes from aqueous solution. Systematic batch mode studies of adsorption of Evercion Green H-34BD using algal biomass of Stigeoclonium nanum were carried out as a function of process of parameters includes time, initial dye concentration, dose of adsorbent, pH, ionic strength and temperature. The adsorption process was very fast and pH dependent. The results demonstrated that the percentage uptake of dye is highly dependent to the initial concentration of Evercion Green and decreasing with an increase in dye concentration. Algal biomass was found to have excellent adsorption capacity and it was observed at pH 2.0 as 407.2 mg/g. The algal biomass was characterized ATR-FTIR, Z-seizer, BET method and various analytical methods. Desorption studies indicated that the algal biomass had good reusability performance especially up to five cycle. The Langmuir isotherm models was used to test the equilibrium data. The linear regression coefficient R^2 was used to elucidate the best fitting isotherm models. The monolayer (maximum) adsorption capacity (qmax) was found to be 454,5 mg/g biomass. The kinetic data were fitted with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model.
