Abstract (EN)

Today, we face the drought as a result of increasing level of global warming is an essential problem to be overcome in the name of humanity. Given the importance of water gains so much effective use; an effective irrigation system is needed that prevents water loss and proof agriculture. For this purpose, superabsorbent polymers (SAP) for use in agricultural applications is of great importance. These materials is used in many fields such as bioengineering, medicine, cosmetics and agricultural applications. Most of the superabsorbent polymers which are used in agricultural practice, were based on polyacrylate hydrogels. The main disadvantage of these structures is their low resistance to salt. In the present study, novel superabsorbent hydrogels were prepared successfully from acrylic acid, acrylamide, carboxymethylcellulose and graphenoxide in aqueous system by using ammoniumpersulphate as initiator. The structure and morphology of the hydrogels were characterized by scanning electron microscope. Graphenoxide contributed salt resistance whereas carboxymethylcellulose as a strong backbone in the hydrogel to support it for keeping its appearance contributed to the pore size. The components of the hydrogel can be found very easily and commercially available at very low price. The graphenoxide based novel hydrogels are therefore promising for the applications in the agricultural applications.
