Abstract (EN)

The textile industry is in the lead of the sectors that consume the most water. Increasing environmental concerns in recent years have brought to light the efforts to reduce water consumption and waste water load in all areas such as yarn preparation, finishing and dyeing in the textile industry. Studies have shown that supercritical fluid technology has the potential to achieve this goal in many textile applications both today and in the future. The positive environmental effects achieved with this technology are to reduce water consumption to a large extent and to eliminate hazardous pollution in wastewater. In this thesis, the hydrophilization of cotton fibers, which is the most important input of the textile industry and is the most produced and consumed worldwide, was carried out using innovative supercritical fluid technology in the presence of beta-cyclodextrin.
