Abstract (EN)
The green building approaches that emerged as a result of the impact of the sustainability concept on the construction sector and the green building evaluation systems were created accordingly have been accepted worldwide. Green building evaluation systems, used primarily for newly constructed buildings, have developed new evaluation tools that aim to reduce the environmental impact of the existing building stock over time. It is known that historical buildings have different requirements within the scope of green building evaluation systems as a part of the existing building stock. In our country, efforts to establish a national green building evaluation system are ongoing, but it has been determined that a system that will allow the evaluation of historical buildings has not been developed yet. In this study, it is aimed to develop a model that will allow us to evaluate the environmental impacts of our country's historical buildings during and after conservation and repair practices.Within the scope of the thesis, green building evaluation systems used in the world are examined. Certificate systems such as BREEM and LEED have evaluation criteria for historical structures. Apart from these, within the scope of the historical building, the national scale GBC-Italy, which is among the green building evaluation systems, was discussed in detail. In our country, historical buildings are registered under two different groups. Since the model created is expected to determine the green building value of the building, a scoring system has been created that will allow different applications for Group 1 and Group 2 historical buildings. In addition, a third scoring system is proposed to be applied in the evaluation of the structures to be reconstructed within the scope of the model, regardless of the two registration groups. 1st Class = 1 for three scoring systems selected within the scope of the model. Group historical buildings are classified as Class 2 = Group 2 historical buildings and Class 3 = Reconstructed historical buildings. In order to generate the evaluation criteria of the proposed model, a survey was conducted with experts on the subject. Responding experts to enable the analysis of historical value, sustainable land, water management, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor air quality, regional priority, innovation, health and safety and criteria and sub-criteria within the scope of historical building green building evaluation criteria. It was requested. Importance of the relevant evaluation criteria in the scoring system were determined by using the AHS method. As a result of the analyzes and calculations, the accuracy of the scoring was confirmed. Four samples were chosen to apply the model on historical buildings. Samples were selected in a way that would allow application in the relevant areas of three different scoring systems proposed under the model. As a result, in order to evaluate historical buildings within the scope of green building evaluation model, it should be arranged in accordance with the basic features of the building. This thesis will enlighten the conservationists on the environmental friendliness of historical building conservation practices and will also contribute to the evaluation of historical building conservation practices.
