Abstract (EN)
In this study, sustainable stormwater management practices were investigated. Strategies have been determined to ensure the environmental cycle including buildings with harvesting technique, gray water and green infrastructure systems were evaluated. Based on the view that university campuses are the most suitable areas to achieve and lead of sustainable management the study area has been chosen as Uludağ University Görükle Campus. Within the scope of the study, a number of land changes including rainwater harvesting, green roof, rain garden, infiltration plant box, permeable surface coating and green street applications on building roofs were proposed in order to ensure efficient use of rainwater. Using the 15-year rainfall data of the region, the changes in the runoff amount that will occur with the existing and land changes of the region were determined and it was determined that if the applications are carried out, the amount of runoff in the campus would decrease by 0.18%. Therefore, within the scope of the study, it is aimed to use rainwater obtained by harvesting technique in building reservoirs. In this context, the water consumption of the people using the buildings in the use of reservoirs and faucets; LEED certificate v4.1 prepared by the US Green Building Council, Indoor Water consumption was determined using the excel calculation method. Thus, the targeted water gains from rainwater and network water were determined. As a result of the method used, it is predicted that 90.9%, 58.1% and 44.6% of the annual total water consumption of the buildings will be provided by rainwater harvesting. If the applications take place in the targeted buildings, the depreciation periods are 4.7 years, 5.8 years and 6.2 years. In addition, the gray water system, in which rainwater and gray water are aimed to be used together, had been evaluated. In the case of the evaluated application, the rates of 100%, 76.7% and 62.2% are foreseen for the water gain obtained in the buildings. If the applications take place in the targeted buildings, the depreciation periods are approximately 6 years and 8.8 years.
