Abstract (EN)

Today's architecture and construction industry is under the influence of sustainability and innovation movements that encourage the integration of local construction materials and advancing technologies. In this context, the clay found in the Adana Seyhan Dam Lake region has been investigated in this thesis for its potential in brick production using 3D printing technology. The blending of local architectural practices with contemporary techniques aims to develop brick designs optimized for Adana's climatic and cultural characteristics. In this research, laboratory tests were conducted to determine the properties of the clay collected from around the Seyhan Dam Lake in Adana. The clay was made printable with a 3D printer and optimized perforated brick designs were produced using parametric modeling techniques according to environmental conditions. This thesis presents an approach that supports the integration of local materials and technological innovations into architectural practice, highlighting the potential to merge regional sustainability with modern production processes.
