Increasing of the human population causes the consumption of resources, increasing of urban areas and bringing pressure on ecosystem. Accordingly, the undesirable consequences of the living quaerters and ecosystem create the conception of sustainability of all the processes and activities. By the context of the concept of sustainability, sustainable architectural activities are covered to compose heralthy habitats both for ecosystems and people. By discussing the concept of sustainability in urban design areas, the common field of disciplines, the relations between ecosystem, both organic and inorganic and its all components are being researched. The analysis of the concepts which sustainability contains in is made. On the other hand, this concept of sustainability outcomes in design competitions frequently. The relations between traditional and contemporary ideas about sustainability and ecosystem are put forth with the current concepts of echological designs.
