Analysis of the relationship between sustainability focused entrepreneurship activities and problems in the real estate sector

The purpose of the research is to examine the effects of sustainability-focused entrepreneurial activities on the problems in the real estate sector. The quantitative research method was used in the research and the enterprises which are members of the The Association of Real Estate and Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER) were examined as the universe. Survey responses of 251 executives from member companies were collected. Various statistical analyzes were made with the the SPSS 25 program to the collected data. According to the findings, the positive effect of sustainability-focused entrepreneurship activities on economic, social and environmental problems in the sector has been determined in accordance with the literature. It is seen that activities with legitimacy, efficacy and philosophy attributes generally have positive effects in solving the problems in the real estate sector. It has been determined in the research that social problems are seen as important and that the legality-qualified entrepreneurial activities are relatively more effective. Solutions such as sustainability-focused urban transformation, appropriate financial infrastructures and long-term applicable policies are expected from generally accepted individuals and institutions with legitimacy in the real estate sector. Sustainability-focused educations, innovations and researches will contribute to raising awareness in the society. It is recommended that researchers who will conduct a sectoral research on the subject, while analyzing the current situation, firstly define and classify the characteristics and effects of those in the sector.
