Management by processes and an implementation

While a process is defined as transforming inputs like human resorces,machinery and materials to outputs that meet the customer requirements byadding value to those inputs, activities performed for the continuous andsystematic evaluation and improvement of those processes are forming theconcept of process management.Implemantation of process management through the whole businessprocesses of a firm and structuring the management on this implementationconstitutes the idea of management by processes.By time, all processes should be subjected in improvent activities toupdate and improve their efficiency. Not concerning process improvementactivities depending on the past succeses of business processes may lead thefirms to wrong management decisions.The main purpose of this study is to explain the relation between processmanagement and management by processes concepts at a theoretical basis, thensupport this theoretical explanation with a real business implementation.In the first chapter of the study, concept of process and generalattributes of processes are examined. The second chapter consisted of theexplanation of relation between process management and management byprocesses concepts, and process improvement techniques.
