Discontinuous periodic sturm-liouville problems

In this thesis, a periodic Sturm-Liouville problem with additional transmission conditions are considered on two disjoint intervals. This study is organized as follows. Chapter 1 provides brief information on the scientific significance and fields of application of the problem under consideration. Chapter 2 provides an overview of the literature on the topic of the thesis. Chapter 3 presents the basic concepts and properties of classical periodic Sturm-Liouville problem. In the main part of the thesis(Chapter 4) some important spectral properties of the periodic Sturm-Liouville problem with additional conditions of transition (so-called transmission conditions) at the interaction point were obtained. The last chapter is devoted to the conclusion of the thesis and some suggestions.
