Effects of Syrian refugees in Turkey

Throughout history, people have had to migrate from places where they live in masses due to war and the difficulties experienced due to war. These mass migrations have deeply affected the social structure in the places where the migration took place. Changes in the social structure in the areas receiving immigration have made it inevitable to experience some problems. The Middle East is one of the regions where migrations are experienced due to wars and the devastating effects of wars. Especially the Arab Spring, which started in Tunisia in 2010 and affected the Middle East countries, had devastating effects in Syria. The Arab Spring took hold of Syria in 2011 and the Esad administration suppressed these growing uprisings using violence. These events between the Syrian people and the Esad government have grown and turned into a civil war. Millions of Syrians, whose life safety is under threat due to this civil war in Syria, have migrated to neighboring countries. Turkey is one of the neighboring countries to which Syrians migrate the most. Turkey has implemented an "open door policy" to Syrians who are in a difficult situation due to the civil war in Syria. With the implementation of this policy, there has been an increase in mass migration from Syria to Turkey since 2011, when the civil war started in Syria. With Turkey opening its doors to Syrians who are in a difficult situation, the refugee population has increased day by day. This situation made Turkey the country that hosts the most Syrians today. Increasing numbers of Syrians in Turkey have affected many areas. The Syrian refugees who migrated to Turkey have negatively affected the economy, social and cultural structure. However, Syrian refugees have many negative effects on basic services and security. Due to the negative effects of Syrian refugees in many areas, there is a "refugee crisis" in Turkey.
