Abstract (EN)
The measurement of body conditions is very important in dairy cows and the herd management can properly be done by controlling the body energy reserves which are important in health, reproduction performance, and yield in this study, effect of body condition score (BCS) on reproductive on reproduction performances, milk yield and health parameters was investigated in 190 Holstein cows at Cukurova University Research farm, in Adana. The herds were examined each week to determine BCS, milk yield and to collect health records, and reproductive traits individually. The differences between the BCS groups were determined statistically significant (P?0.05) while number of services per conception gestation period, lactation period, 120 daily milk production lactation milk production were not determined statistically significant (P>0.05). As a result of the usage of BCS changes on herd management would provide significant advantages to the intensive dairy farms aspect of milk yield, fertility and disease control. However, the BCS can provide expected benefits if the acows are kept in the good control conditions.
