Abstract (EN)
Recent developments in experimental techniques have shown directly for the first time, confirming a controversial prediction of great importance to understanding water and hydrogen bonds in water. X-ray absorption spectroscopy and x-ray Raman scattering were used to probe the molecular arrangement in the first coordination shell of liquid water. In recent years, a number of x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and related experiments have begun to characterize the H-bond structure in detail by assigning the observed spectral features to specific H-bonding configurations. The aim of this study to investigate new unique chemical and physical properties of liquid water and hydrogen bonding.
