Özet (EN)

Compounds containing chromophore azo groups (-N = N-) bound to sp2-hybrid carbon atoms are called azo dyes. The coupling reaction to form the azo group is called azo coupling. This reaction is widely used in the dyestuff industry to produce hundreds of azo dyes in many colors and shades. In addition, azo-Schiff has been used in medicine in recent years due to the anticancer activity of some metal complexes. In this study, in the first step, azo coupling reactions of aniline derivatives were performed under various conditions. In the second step, these chelating intermediates synthesized azo dyestuff Schiff base compounds were obtained by condensation reaction with various benzaldehyde derivatives. In the third stage, stable metal complexes were synthesized with zinc metal salt from various azo-Schiff bases. Antibacterial and antifungal effects of synthesized zinc metal complexes were determined by comparing with various antibiotics.
