Abstract (EN)

Tahir Büyükkörükçü Hodja is a virtuous, scholarly figure who is very loved by the society with his sermons and conversations, and this effect is still going on, and his recognition exceeds the borders of Turkey. However, Tahir Hodja is a Sufi personality. In our study, we tried to examine Tahir Hodja's views on Sufism through the sermons, conversations and works he wrote in Kapu Mosque, and the effect of Sufism on his life and sermons. While addressing the society, we emphasized how to explain Sufi figures, how to reflect Sufism and what kind of style we should use. While examining the sermons of Kapu Mosque, we benefited from the works in which his sermons were trasnkripted, we also examined Tahir Hodja's views on Sufism in other works, we talked about the studies and memoirs written about him, his relations with intellectuals, poets and Sufi figures who were known to the society and his views on them. In terms of reflecting his thoughts, we examined his sermons in Kapu Mosque, his works, his speeches in the Grand National Assembly during his deputy period in a whole.. We discussed Sufi concepts within the framework of his works. We touched upon the influence of his teachers and the scholars and Sufi figures he met in his life on his upbringing. His acquaintance with his sheikh Mahmut Sami Ramazaoğlu was one of the turning points in his life and influenced his life and sermons. He also popularized Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi's Mesnevi with his works and sermons. He explained the nuclei of Sufism in a pure, clear style in a way that the society could understand, talked about the importance of Sufism in human life and tried to instill this in his congregation.
