Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is thought that a selection of appropriate cutting parameters on the machine tools used in the manufacturing can reduce the noise that workers are exposed. An experiment plan is formed with respect to three variables of cutting process which are feed rate , cutting speed and depth of cut , and the experiment also has three levels and two target functions. The experiments were carried out on a CNC milling machine in two different materials: AISI 2714 steel and EN AW 6013 aluminum. Response Surface Method was analyzed using "Central Composite Design" (MKT) in order to investigate the contribution of these parameters to the target function. The effects of cutting parameters on the machine sound and surface roughness were also determined. Mathematical models have been developed in order to predict sound and surface roughness by applying regression analysis to the experimental results.
