Abstract (EN)

In today's conditions, arthroscopic interventions are rapidly gaining importance and being developed. In this way, anatomical and pathological structures can be evaluated better and the necessary interventions can be performed with a better image quality. Besides the determination of patient and medical indications, the knowledge and experience of the surgeon is very important. Patients who did not respond to conservative treatment between 2015-2018 due to RC rupture and subacromial impingement in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Medicine were evaluated. Fifty-seven patients with full-thickness tear and subacromial impingement in RM were included in the study. Patients who underwent ALA with arthroscopic RC repair and anterior acromioplasty were identified as the first group (Group 1). Patients who underwent arthroscopic RC repair and complete anterior acromioplasty were the second group (Group 2). Group 1 consisted of 30 patients and group 2 consisted of 27 patients. Our patients were divided into two groups as ALA (-) and ALA (+); Preoperative and postoperative periods were evaluated with Constant and Oxford scales. It was positively significant to obtain high scores according to Constant scale and low scores according to Oxford scale. It shows that patients have improved both pain and functionally. Based on this, we think that postoperative tendon repair is improved and preserved in patients with ALA. In addition, as a result of our measurements, we reduced preoperative CSA values from 37.93 ± 2.64 (mean ± SD) to 33.13 ± 1.33 (mean ± SD) in the ALA group. Thus, we have seen that the higher CSA value is reduced to the ideal range.
