Examining fans' levels of respect for opposition and self-control during the competition

The purpose of this research is to examine the level of respect and self-control of the fans during the match. The scale method, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the research. The research was carried out with the relational screening model and the research data were obtained by the questionnaire method. The sample of the research consists of 301 sports fans in Hatay. As a data collection tool, a questionnaire consisting of personal information in the first part, the "Sports Supporter Fanaticism Scale" (STFÖ) in the second part, and the "Respect for Opposite Opinions in Sports and Self-Control Scale" (SKGSÖ) in the third part was used. In the evaluation of the expressions in the "Sports Fanaticism Scale", 4-point Likert type (1= strongly agree – 5= strongly disagree), in the evaluation of the expressions in the "Respect for Opposite Opinion in Sports and Self-Control Scale", 5-point Likert type (1= strongly disagree – 5= totally agree) scales were used.
