Abstract (EN)
Ensuring the accessibility, visitability or usability of the historic environment for everyone is undoubtedly very difficult compared to other buildings in the existing building stock. This environment, which was planned/designed or built for the average user group at the time of its construction, cannot be expected to be suitable or inclusive for everyone today. It requires interventions that will create or add value in a very wide perspective from legislation to design. This study will address the accessibility, visitability and usability of the historical environment and evaluate it through the Çanakkale Wars Gallipoli Historical Site Museums. The inclusion and implementation of the concepts of accessibility and protection in legal regulations will be discussed. Thanks to the evaluation of the museums discussed, the difficulties experienced by visitors in the historical environment will be expressed and the measures that need to be implemented to eliminate the obstacles will be determined.
