3D thematic map production of historical cultural heritage: Çivril district/Denizli

The erasure of civilizations from the stage of history has been physically leaving many traces behind them, even if abstractly in the literary process. Seeing these traces, which are historical structures, arouses interest in human beings. Due to this interest of people, history-culture tourism has developed over time. Digital archiving of the historical building stock and presenting it for the use of tourists has become a necessity for the development of tourism. There have also been developments in the field of cartography in accordance with the time. Cartography examines and contributes to the theoretical and practical work of maps from the production stage to the presentation stage. Today, digital maps are mostly preferred instead of physical maps. Cartographic products are mostly produced using CAD-based programs and presented in digital environment. In this thesis, the results of the query based on the attribute information of the historical buildings in Çivril district of Denizli province, which have been repaired, have been thematically mapped. The buildings were modeled in three dimensions with AutoCAD and SketchUp programs. The models were converted into Geography Markup Language information models with the Feature Manipulation Engine program. Thematic queries were performed using the Cesium Ion platform and thematic maps were presented on the internet.
