Abstract (EN)
BIM, which is described as a building information model, is one of the most talked about topics in the architecture and construction industry in recent years. Although the use of BIM has become widespread in new buildings; BIM is the whole system that manages a building by working in an integrated way from the design to the demolition process. In the process in which the building is used, the stages such as maintenance, repair and renewal are also a part of the life cycle of the building and can be the subject of BIM. The concept of Heritage BIM (Architectural Heritage Building Information Model) has emerged with the process carried out for the protection of cultural heritage structures within BIM. So Heritage BIM; It can be defined as an interdisciplinary working methodology for the sustainable management of built cultural assets. In this study, for the recognition of Heritage BIM in Turkey; The concept of HBIM (Heritage BIM) has been explained and the most used standardizations have been discussed. In addition, a pioneering study in its field was created by creating an exemplary HBIM model of Mehmet Ağa Mansion and refunctioning it in order to popularize the use of HBIM. A comparison of the preparation processes of conservation and re-functioning projects was made through CAD and BIM-based programs and suggestions were developed. Mehmet Ağa Mansion, equipped with a superior technology for its period, is an authentic example of Early Republican Period architecture located in the countryside. Mehmet Ağa Mansion, which has not been used for many years due to the high repair costs, was requested to be kept alive, and a conditional donation was made to the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. In the re-functioning process of Mehmet Ağa Mansion, collaborations with the municipality, conducting studies to re-function with a survey study and suggesting a new function as a result of these studies are among the subjects of this thesis.
