The slavery in Anatolian Seljuk State with in the historical process

A slave is called a person who is deprived of his legal, economic and social needs and whose freedom is chained and accepted in a very low status compared to free people. According to Islamic Law, men in this status are called "slaves" and women are called "concubines". Slavery is an institution as old as human history and has been seen in almost all civilizations such as Sumer, Akad, Ancient Egypt, Hittite, Phoenician, Babylon, Indian. Many situations such as being taken prisoner as a result of the wars, borrowing due to gambling or other reasons, forced kidnapping, selling and being born as slaves can be shown as the source of slavery. We can see that slaves were generally used in the army and palace in the Anatolian Seljuk State. Gulams, who went through a certain education system and gained the characteristics of the slaves-soldiers, sometimes served at higher levels of the state. Slavery was tried to be abolished, but it has continued to date in different ways. The institution of slavery in the Anatolian Seljuk State was a continuation of the Islamic states established before it.
