Abstract (EN)

Iran has got an ancient civilization since 3000 B.C. This civilization which it holds, had effected for thousands of years and assimilated its invaders culturally and religiously even though it encountered lots of invasive powers that aimed to damage. Through the history, existing as/how it is, Iran rejects the external values and maintains its own state system and religion.Birth of Islam above the Arabic terrain caused first break into the Iran civilization?s traditional structure. Because of the Sassanid?s destruction era, Islam could intervene in this land of Iran and cause the people of this lands? adopted another religion. The Shia state structure has still maintained its effectiveness since the era of Safavid. From 16th century to 20th century, Shia-Turkish hegemony turned to Shia-Persian hegemony; and in the meantime of 4 century, this hegemony could effected the ethnic and religious elements- and of course state government. The latest example of this religious effectiveness on Iran is Islamic Revolution. Via this revolution Iran rejected the government that had the alienated value judgement and the hegemony of outbreaks onto the state again; and it signed one of the biggest revolution through the 20th century. The regime which challenged against the Western World in 1979 can remain standing thanks to the pragmatic policies coming after revolution. With its geopolitical position and nuclear activities, Iran is one of the important threat against Western World. On the contrary to other countries in this region, Iran has been tried to be stroken by its vulnerable point, its ethnic variety. Iran has resisted on the modern world so its most important problem is again the cultural attacks. In the world of 21th century Iran has been stuck in somewhere between modernity and traditionalism one more time.
