Abstract (EN)
VI ABSTRACT Production is very important in the economy, as known. Production gets more important than ever in taking note of something that should be done after the economic crisis from past to present. In production process, production cost, production quality, services after sale are parts of all production process in order to get raw materials to produce goods. This study has examined the producers in the Ottoman Empire in detail that has showed the Ottoman guilds how to produce all of the goods in the economy. The Ottoman guilds certainly were not only the munitions that produce goods but also those that were interested in all problems of their members. Because social anxieties were really important for the Ottoman guilds. Having loaded with the additional obligations by the government, guilds went beyond the role of being producer getting adrninistrative functionality at a local level in the society. Quality of goods was the most important thing for the guilds that organized in perceptiveness of solidarity. Therefore, they applied really hard rules and regulations that had arisen from the Ottoman traditions. There was no elasticity in their rules and regulations. The rules and regulations used to protect the quality of goods and the inflexible structure of the guilds, had turned out to prevent them from getting adapted to process of variation. Consequently, the Ottoman guilds did not become industrialized. For those reasons, to examine the Ottoman guilds in detail in historical perspective is really important. Thus, we can see what would happen if not to take unaviodable process of variation into account or not to accept it. The study intend to examine the Ottoman guilds in detail with historical perspective.
