Abstract (EN)

Water is one of the indispensable elements of natural life and living things cannot survive without water. Therefore, the management of our limited water resources is of great importance. As a result of global warming, precipitation is decreasing due to increasing temperatures and this brings water problems and drought. These water problems will be reduced to the local level by deductive method and water resources, water problems and their effects on agriculture in Manavgat as a result of climate change will be discussed. It will be investigated whether the agricultural sector at the local level uses effective water use methods. The opinions of people involved in agriculture on these problems will be included. The discourses about the decrease in water resources will be revealed through interviews with people who experience these problems. The data obtained through in-depth interviews and semi-structured in-depth interviews with local administrators, agriculturalists and farmers will be written in a computerized format with descriptive analysis and content analysis method. The study group will be selected using simple random sampling and snowball sampling methods. The reason for choosing Manavgat's agricultural sector in this study is that 423,360 decares of the district's 2,237,000 decares of land is agricultural land. In addition, 1.706.690 decares of non-agricultural land and 106.950 decares of meadow and pasture land. The share of land allocated to agriculture in the total land area of the district (18.93%) is at the same level with the general average of the province (19.85%). According to MATSO's records, agricultural income in Manavgat increased by 462.5% from 2014 to 2021. With these characteristics, Manavgat's contribution to Antalya and the country's agriculture is increasing rapidly. This study in the field will contribute to many sectors, scientific knowledge and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of clean water and sanitation.
