Abstract (EN)
Different braking mechanisms are used to control the speed of tire vehicles and railway vehicles or to stop their movement while they are on the move. Brake mechanisms work by slowing down or stopping the movement by compressing the moving object. The heat energy generated during this period may cause adverse situations. In recent years, it has been observed that as a result of the heat energy that the brake disc are exposed to, the service life of the disc decreases, and the braking distance increases due to high heat energy and even causes accidents. With this study, it is aimed to design a brake disc with high efficiency and to examine the design using the finite element method.
