Abstract (EN)

Tashkoprîzâde Ahmad Efendî is an Ottoman scholar who lived in the 16th century and was born to a family of the ilmiyya class. He became famous for his works in the fields of history of science and biography and he also has works about morality. His most important feature is his attempt to integrate theory and practice in his works. Akhlâq-ı Adûdiyya Sharhi is a work of Tashkoprîzâde which presents comprehensively view of morality. The author of the work he annotated is Adûd al-Dîn al-Îjî, who lived in the 14th century and is known as the theologian and Shafi'î scholar. The aim of the study is to examine the family and state ethics sections of Akhlâq-ı Adûdiyya Şerhi and to determine the views of Tashkoprîzâde in the fields of individual, family and political ethics. In the first part, we examined Tashkoprîzâde life, works and views on morality. In the second part, we tried to evaluate the science of home management and the elements that make up the house, the relations between these elements by referring to other works of Tashkoprîzâde and some other texts written in this field. In the third chapter, we evaluated Tashkoprîzâde's thoughts on state morality, the elements that make up the state, their relations with each other and human relations in general. The main source of our study was the Akhlâq-i Adûdiyya Sharhi of Tashkoprîzâde . From time to time, we also cited the sources that he used. We have determined that Tashkoprîzâde constitutes a prominent ring in the chain of studies on the ethics of Islam and the popularization of Morality in the 16th century's Ottoman society.
