The evaluation of primary schools? second level students? attitudes towards social sciences in transportational teaching education system (Sincan case)

The main purpose of this study is to evaluate primary school,second grade students' attitudes towards social sciences who are at the practice of transportational and local primary teaching education system.The literature review was made at the beginning of this research. In order to collect data, a social sciences attitude survey was used in this study The first part of this survey is about personal information. Second part contains 30 sentences related with attitudes towards social sciences.The aim of this survey is the primary school students who came to school with transportational system in 2006-2007 Educational period in Sincan, Ankara. In Sincan, five primary schools were found that performed transportational primary teaching education system. But, one of the schools was left out because there were just three students in this system.For this research,the sample groups are chosen as 137 students at transportational and 137 students at local education systems at random.To analyze data, SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) program was used on computer. Frequencies and percentages were calculated according to the students'responses to this survey. T-test was used in bilateral comparisons and One-Way Anova Varyans Analysis technique was used in multi-comparisons.According to this research, the results showed us the students? attitudes to Social Sciences who are at local education system more positive than who are at transportational system. The other data was gathered that when the students had positive attitudes to Social Sciences, they got the highest (5) marks. The others got lower marks because of their negative attitudes to Social Sciences, the less interested students? marks are decreasing parallel with their attitudes to this subject.
