Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, it is aimed to analyze the knowledge of parents about nutrition. They are the parents of children in transported education. The parents of primary school students in transported education in Rize constitute the study group of this research conducted in the 2018-2019 academic year. In this study, opinions of parents about nutrition were taken. Questionnaire was made to determine these opinions. It consists of 21 items and was developed by the researcher. The descriptive analyzes of the questionnaire included the responses as frequency and percentage values from the parents. It was determined that, these parents, who were the subject of the study, had good communication with their children about nutrition. The number of parents stating that their children have breakfast each morning makes up more than half of the respondents. Advice on follow up the free meal list given to parents in schools and the suggestion that nutrition training shold be provided by experts, as a result of the fact that they don't follow these list.
