Özet (EN)
This research is planned, improved and resulted with a view to observe the eating conditions of primary school students that are transported from their villages to schools by the busses every day and the students that live at the downtown, diet patterns, eating habits, sufficiency of the nutrition aid given to the students transported from their villages to schools by the buses everyday and its effect to their success and to find out the solution proposals according to the research results. Six primary schools determined by the simple, casual sampling method and in the frontier of Tokat/Erbaa compose the sampling of the research. The reason of being chosen these schools is that both the students transported from their villages to schools by the buses every day and the students that live at the downtown attend these schools. This research is practiced on total 420 students (210 students transported from their villages to schools bythe buses every day, 210 students that live at the downtown). The research's datums are collected by using questionnaire technique. SPSS 11.0 statistical packet program in Windows is used tu evaluate the datums. Mean (x), standart deviation (s), standart error (Sx) and up-down values are calculated for the evaluation of anthropometric measurements according to the children's sexs and types of schools, the evaluation of nourishment consumptions according to the meals, the results of energy and nourishment capacities. In the statistical evulation, t test, chi-square (x2) test are applied to the appropriate tables, number and percentage dispersions are taken. According to taken results, eating habits and forms of the students transported from their villages to schools by the buses every day and the students that live at the downtown are not so different. It is understood that nutrition aid given to the students are not enough and because of various reasons, the students are not glad with the nutrition aid (%74.3). Average success of the students transported to the schools everyday is 2.66±0.71 in boys and 2.92±0.73 in girls. Also the average success of the students that live at the down town is 3.58±0.95in boys and 3.88±0.93 in girls. It isIV seen that success ratio of the students that live at the downtown is lower than the success ratio of the students transported to the schools every day. Reason of this problem is not only the nutrition forms but also the education positions of the students in villages such as training in united classes. The students have also some problems in the schools and the difficulties of transportation. These problems cause the low success of the students in the schools at the downtown when the diet patterns of the students transported to the schools by the buses, compares with the diet patterns of the students that live at the downtown, it is seen that the students are nourished insufficient. It is deduced that boys usually have problems in getting vitamin A, calcium, iron, zinc and energy. Only %15 of boys in 13-15 age group and %2.2 of the boys that live at the downtown can take enough energy. %95.2 of girls in 13-15 age group and %86.9 of girls that live at the downtown cannot get iron enough. Socioeconomic problems of the families, insuffiency of nutriation education, the families of the students, apathy can be the reasons of insufficient eating and malnutrition of the students.
