Animated and interactive infographics on mobile communication devices

Information has been one of the most primary needs of human beings throughout the ages. It expanded with developing of information technologies and its available in everywhere and for everyone. We are exposing to hundreds of information and messages during the day and its great importance for us finding qualified and comprehensible information. Information has different parameters which enables information qualified. However, for making information understandable and memorable, it have to visualise within universal design criteria. In this age, one of the most important speciality is information design. Therefore it has critical role for making information understandable and memorable. As visual presentation of information, most preferred format is infographics in information design. Infographics are took places in stable media, for example books, magazines, newspapers and posters. However, with developing communication technologies, infographics began to take place with animated and interactive manner in smartphones and tablet devices which named mobile communication devices. In first part of research, communication and interaction concepts were studied. In second part, developing and usability of mobile communication devices were studied. In thirth part of research, definition and history of information design, its relationship with graphic design, and it's production areas were researched. In fouth part of research, definition, kinds, current formats of infographics and design principles that using in design process of infographics were researched. In fifth part of research examples over the current stable, animated, and interactive infographics samples were examined. In the sixth and final part of the research, according to the information obtained within the research a sample mobile application which will take a place on tablet devices was designed which contains animated and interactive infographic
