Abstract (EN)

A seasonal sampling program was set up in order to describe physico-chemical parameters, seasonal variation in biomass, distribution and abundance of zooplankton and chlorophyll-a, and to identify the relationship between physico-chemical parameters and these variables in Tateyama Bay (Japan). It was determined that, inner and offshore parts of the bay have different characteristics in physico-chemical parameters. On the seasonal manner in both abundance of total zooplankton and chlorophyll-a were characterized by high values in spring and shallow stations in the inner part of the bay. Generally the statistically important relationships were determined between physico-chemical parameters and biological variables especially in spring and summer. From dendogram, which was constructed using physico-chemical parameters and zooplankton only clear harmony was determined among the groups in spring and winter. Keywords: Tateyama Bay (Japan), Physico-chemical parameters, Zooplankton II
