Abstract (EN)
From the time of first human being until now, the needs of them have been changed and differentiated. Each day since the beginning, the needs of human beings have been increased and being more complicated compared to the first days. By the passing of the time, the competition among the firms became inevitable for meeting those needs.In this new competitive market, companies mostly concentrated on the efficiency of production. This tendency toward globalization also increased the works done on the total efficiency. Total efficiency is the process which starts with getting the raw material and end by reaching the last consumer. This process includes transportation, production, stocking, marketing, delivery, customer services. The interconnection between independent companies to exchange the materials and knowledge in a organized way in order to reach this goal is called Supply Chain.In this thesis, firstly we have examined Supply Chain in general and historical way. At the next chapter, Supply Chain and Management was in a way how it influences the companies in total efficiency. After that, it was given general information about Simulation Technologies and Paradigms. Then, Systems Thinking and Systems Dynamics were investigated. Through this new approach of system, structure, behavior, dynamism concepts were explained. Furthermore, we have given some information about Agent, System Dynamics and Agent Base Modeling. Besides, Agent Base Modeling system was explained with the help of an anylogic sample model.Finally, we create two models with the approach of Systems Dynamics and Agent Base Modeling and put forward the Dynamic System Analysis of Supply Chain and Management.The application part of the research was constituted of three steps. At the first step, the fundamental issue was building a model with both two approaches. After this, research of Supply Chain and Management was tested on two models. At the second step, we applied data from real market enterprise which name is İskenderun Iron and Steel Company. The results of two models were compared with real market data and the differences were investigated.When we saw that both models have given us true results, we started to compare the models with each other. This comparison was made with their results, simulation technologies, development capabilities and contribution for future researches. it can be possible for the managers to create different strategies with making analysis over decision points.As a result, we saw that the models have given us approximately similar results. So it can be possible to investigate the interactions of basic factors of Supply Chain Management with the help of the models. So both models can help Supply Chain Managers to investigate different scenarios over decision points, to reach and give effective solutions.However, it is possible to say that Agent Base Modeling is more suitable and effective than the other modeling systems for Supply Chain and Management problems because of its easiness, simplicity and using different approaches for building a model and being wide open to progress.
