Abstract (EN)
For today?s businesses, it is very important to effectively manage the supply chain and determine the effects of techniques applied on the performance of the supply chain. Scientific studies on the subject clearly show that the problems in this domain arise mainly due to inefficiencies in information flows not from material flows. In an efficient supply chain management, correct, complete and real time information is important. For the provision of such information, RFID technology has an important role. This study is done to investigate the current situation of RFID technology in our country. For this purpose, a survey consisting 6 parts was administered to 13 companies from 3 different industries. The results show that RFID technology is currently not used in our country but firms plan to apply it soon, the companies want to use RFID to decrease costs and accelerate the information flow within their businesses, but the high cost of RFID hardware and software affects the strategic decisions regarding this technology.
