Abstract (EN)

As a result of the globalization of international trade, factors of production and consumer products come from different destinations around the world. This study aims to minimize transportation costs. This research has been performed optimization for transportation of a supply chain, which aims to change route because of the Russia and Ukraine war. Our study aims to increase the competitive structure in the new market by reducing the cost of a fast-food company that does not perform maritime shipping in its supply chain. Adding liner shipping to the supply chain would reduce the cost of transporting raw materials. The supply chain will use maritime shipping instead of land transportation. Since there is less fossil fuel per unit in shipping, both the cost and the carbon emissions will be reduced. As regards its sustainability and its contribution to the environment, shipping is the most appropriate solution. The originality of the study is the use of foldable containers using in the cold chain. Including maritime shipping leads to sustainable engineering and cost reduction. The raw material will be shipped in an empty and foldable container within this study. Since the final product shipment requires a cold chain, the folding container will not be used at this point. Certain coefficients for the container average are drawn from company authorities. With these coefficients, the choice of raw material suppliers and cost optimization for the market was found by solving the mathematical model of the Laden and Foldable Container routing Problem with the GAMS software.
