Examination of the articles in the Tedrisat journal in terms ofeducation approach of the period

Periodicals are important resources that can reflect the agenda, social structure and general lines of the period in which they were published. Therefore, journals constitute a large part of the periodicals. The journals, which are the witnesses of the period they are in, and that shed light as a source from the past to the future when examined later; have important information about the history of education as well as many other subjects. Tedrisat Mecmuası, which was published between 1951-1958, as one of these educational journals, has many data in terms of the educational understanding of the period it was published. Tedrisat Mecmuası is an educational journal and has an important place in Turkey in the field of journalism education. This journal was published twice between 1909-1926 and 1951- 1958, and many academic studies were conducted on the first publication period of the journal. On the other hand, although there is no academic study for the second publication period of the journal between 1951-1958, this study is aimed to be the first study in terms of enlightening the discussions and opinions on education in the relevant period. For all that the journal has 60 known issues, all of these issues are analyzed by content analysis and a content breakdown is created for this study. In this context, it has been determined that articles on many subjects such as social studies, lesson plans and textbooks were published in the journal, and various ideas were put forward to improve education and training. Apart from those mentioned, educational programs and teacher training procedures of various countries were examined in the content of the magazine, and sample lesson plans and developments in education were conveyed to the readers. In this study, Tedrisat Mecmuası, a periodicals, have been discussed and also the subject of the development of the establishment of printing in order to maintain the historical flow in Turkey, the development of the emergence and periodicals of the first periodicals were examined. The emergence of the first journals and printing regulations were conveyed, and then the contents of the Tedrisat Mecmuası were examined under various headings. Finally, the entire content of the journal is listed under the title "index" at the end of the study.
