Abstract (EN)
The thesis focuses on mathematical analysis and control of modular multilevel converters. For transient and steady state analysis, the required mathematical model is constituted, open and closed loop working conditions are simulated on computer program. In these simulations, both energy and current control are built and analyzed separately to suppress circulating current. Additionally, the whole system is made independent from the real values by converting the system into per unit. In modular multilevel converters, the relationship between the suppressing the circulating current and the resonance condition formed by second harmonic current. The analytic calculation of the resonance frequency is compared with the simulation results
