Abstract (EN)
Screw compressors are used in the compressed air sector in jobs that cannot be achieved with human power. Efficiency decreases due to irreversibilities in energy consuming devices lead to an increase in operating expenses. The increase in costs and carbon emissions caused by the use of fossil fuels leads to the Tuesday research of energy efficient solutions in compressors as in all sectors. Within the scope of this thesis, experimental analyses of the change in nozzle diameter at the oil injection port in terms of flow rate, active power and specific power were performed in order to increase the efficiency of compressors producing compressed air, thereby designing an energy-efficient compressor. KEYWORDS: Screw compressor, Energy efficiency, Oil injected, Orifice, Volumetric Flow rate
